A heartfelt novel with symbolic meaning and a distinct, clever character. Follow a young girl's journey (Bean), through her life as she faces obstacle after obstacle in new places, meeting new people.

A /must/ read-my favourite by far.

Bean is such an inspirational character, and i loved to see her grow from being a little girl to an independant woman. I loved how her red samsonite carried all the important things, and the chapters were just basically how all of her preciuos items had a story to them.
